Kurobe-kyokoku, located in the eastern part of Toyama, is a deep V-shaped gorge with a height difference between the river and mountains ranging from 1,500 to 2,000 meters. The trolley ride between Unazuki and Keyakidaira provides a breathtaking panorama of the awe-inspiring virgin forests and steep cliffs from Atobiki Bridge, which spans the deepest part of the gorge. The area is blessed with many hot springs such as Unazuki Onsen and Kanetsuri Onsen, both of which are famous for their natural open-air baths at the river bank of the Kurobe River.
