Oku Hida Onsen, in the northern part of Gifu Prefecture, is a collective name for the five hot spring resort towns: Hirayu, Fukuchi, Shin Hirayu, Tochio, and Shin Hodaka. Nestled in the heart of the Japan Alps, each of these resort towns with their own unique hot spring water offers a number of open-air baths and footbaths.The scenery of autumn leaves in the magnificent mountains is another attraction of this area.
